Exclamation 86 N/A Fuel Injectors

Ok well I recently bought my FC. Since I've owned it ive been working on it and getting it up and running. Been on this site for over a week now searching and researching to learn how to fix each problem I've encountered. Have to say its been really fun learning and troubleshooting. But now im stuck on the last problem.

I cant get it running becuase it floods. I know how to unflood it but the problem is so bad that it wont start unless its bone dry (started up before but not after I turn it off. Atleast not for an hour). Well as of yesterday I believe the primary injectors finally gave out and clogged. Either that or just malfunctioned. None the less its impossible to start the car now.

From researching I have concluded that my secondary injectors do work correctly. (ran smooth in high RPMs). Now what I was wondering since all injectors are 460cc, can the secondary be switched into the primary without any problems? Or is there a slight difference?

Is there any way to clean out the primary once taken out so they dont leak or clog? Im leaning towards them just leaking too much rather than clogged or malfuntioning. (then again im not too educated on injector assembly and repair)

By the way. Hi everyone.

They are the same injector, so you can swap them.

Search for "injector cleaning" and you'll get lots of info. Basically you should have a local shop that can do it. Check the yellow pages for "injection" or "diesel injection". Most diesel shops will also do gas injectors.

Depends on the shop. A day or two is normal. Some are same day.

Ok just read previous posts. Hopefully that does the trick. Im pretty sure that would be the problem since the engine runs really strong when it actually gets going. Timing is right on, new spark plugs, etc. I guess while I take off the injectors to get them cleaned now is a good time for a new o2 sensor and fuel filter.

Have to say I love the backfire flames that come out of the exhaust once in a while when its revving down. Why is that btw? I read it wasn't a bad thing and that rotaries generally do that from time to time.
