86-88 Front and Rear rotor housings different?

If anyone has been following a post that myself and HAILERS have been writing, it looks like both of our motors have reversed front and rear rotor housings. My front rotor housing has an "R' stamped on it and vice versa for the rear. This is theoretically blocking the EGR passage and some other stuff (I got a little lost) but does not affect operation of the motor. But it prevents them from passing emissions unless you have a fairly new cat.

Can anyone else validate this??? Are there 2 different part #s for the housings on that motor????

Don't know if this helps or not, but the parts fiche show them as different parts. Re the EGR - its used to reduce NOx emissions which rotaries are already inherently low in. I'm pretty sure my EGR valve is stuffed (carboned up and doesn't pass air) but I passed a sniff test just dandy with my original 145k mile cat. (reading of 95 with a limit of 2539)
