85 GSL-SE engine in an 86?
Hey guys, I have a rusted 85 GSL-SE first gen with a good-running 100k mile 13B 6-port in it. I was wondering if it was possible to put this in a cheap 86 RX7 with a dead motor that I found. I have been told to put a later engine in an earlier car, you change the front cover and the oil pan. But to put an earlier engine in a later car, you must build custom engine mounts. Is this true?
Thanks for any input. If I can't do the swap I am just going to sell the motor.

Sounds like a waste of time to go to all that effort to have a lower-spec engine. You should check the legality too, as some places won't let you swap in ealier model engines.
