so i recently purchased an 87 mazda rx7 n/a tested the compression it came back perfect no oil leaks no coolant problems i switched out the spark plugs fuel filter and air filter. so i tried staring it but all i heard was the fuel pump but it did not fire. the car sat for about 4 months original owner passed away any help would be greatly appreciated . or if anyone could point me in the right direction. thanks

 

tap on the starter solenoid a couple of times and see if she starts up.

 

alright im lookin at the haynes guide i'll try that out anything else anyone could suggest before i try and start my 7 up? oh i also removed all a/c componets and my air pump . anyone with anyone ideas please post thanks a ton .

 

Are you pressing in the clutch pedal when you crank it?

 

well i tried banging on the starter no go did not want to turn over i replaced all fuses . i put in new fluids in the tranny and rear diff . everything i could think of does anyone have any suggestions im running out of ideas
