6800RPM buzzer as RPM switch?

Wheres the buzzer that sounds off when u hit 6800RPM? I wanna turn it into a RPM switch, also will it still sound off with a Haltech or piggyback?

The buzzer is activated directly off the tacho, not the ECU, so it'll still work with a Haltech. There'd be no need to use it as an rpm switch with a Haltech though, as the Haltech can do that for you.
I think it would be possible to wire a relay across the buzzer's terminals to act as a 6800rpm switch. What did you want to switch? I thought about wiring a high intensity LED the same way to act as a shift light (wouldn't need a relay with an LED), but decided the buzzer was loud enough.

It's on the instrument cluster, you gotta unsolder it.

The buzzer is at the back of the instrument cluster. It cannot supply very much current, so you will need to use a relay with a high resistance coil. Not sure if standard auto relays meet this requirement.

Not sure if standard auto relays meet this requirement. Oh, and put a diode accross the relay coil to absorb the voltage spike generated as the magnetic field collapses accross the coil.

There was a writeup a while back about disabling the buzzer, you can probably use it to rewire it too.
