Other than the Redline tranny and diff fluid I'd use normal prestone coolant and castrol gtx 10w30. Fuel system cleaners dont really work that well from what people say. You're better off sending them off to be cleaned and blueprinted.

Also for your tune up check:
-all other fluids
-spark plugs and wires
-belts
-change fuel filters both the high pressure and low pressure filters
-anything else you can think of that's a normal wear item

I'd go with Castrol GTX 20w50 for engine oil....
i've noticed a difference in oil weight as far as the way the engine performs....

But, iliketoeatricers knows more than me...

Don't forget the hoses! Now is an excellent time to replace those ageing coolant and vacuum lines.. it'll cost a bit more, but it will save you MASSIVE headaches down the road. . while the coolant system is drained, you might as well put in a new thermostat, too!

If you go to the dealership, they have to fix your seatbelts too if they're broken right? How much do OEM thermostats cost?

Nippon is OEM for mazda. the ones to avoid are those nasty Motorrad or stant thermostats and radiator caps.

I would like the other use Castrol 20W50 oil
and honestly I am not a fan of most redline products I would use castrol gear oil for both the trans and diff.. they have a synthetic if u want to use that..

as for coolant just use regular coolant unless u can find glacelf that stuff is awsome..

the only fuel system cleaner I have found to work is either Jectron or Techron both actually work I have proof they work after using them on a car with clogged injectors but the only real way to use them is to add them to a 1/8 tank of gas and go for a hard drive on the highway for 5-10 minutes then fill up..

Honestly on these cars I am not fully into the synthetic thing in any part of the engien unless the part u are adding the syn fluid to is freshly rebuilt

My personal list for tuning up every RX7 I acquire:

-Castrol GTX 20w50 in the engine. Not recommended for extremely cold (under 20*) climates.
-New spark plugs, NGK, factory recommendation
-New spark plug wires, Magnacore, 8.5mm or 10mm, whatever
-OEM thermostat
-OEM fuel filter + bracket, also replace the sock in the tank if you so wish
-OEM oil filter
-Any green coolant, do not use anything but green, I do 50/50 with DISTILLED water

DO NOT! I REPEAT, DO NOT! Use Superlight gear oil in an FC!!

-Redline MT-90 in the transmission
-Redline 75w90 in the rear end (I think its 75w90..could be w80? Can't remember)

I recommend getting a full silicone vacuum hose set, and replacing every single hose on the entire engine. The factory hoses are prone to crack and burn over time, silicone will last much longer, and deter any possible problems in the future.

If you plan to remove emissions, now is the time.

Seeing as you are down here, now would be a great time to replace all gaskets, port/mod the throttle body, etc. I recommend replacing all coolant hoses, heater core hoses (especially the one on the driver side, to the rear of the engine - EXTREMELY prone to cracking, and killing your engine). Replace the radiator hoses, you may want to flush it..theres a write up on the forum about how-to.

That just about covers it..
