6-port sleeves question

6-port sleeves question
I am about to start tearing apart my IM to install my Pineapple 6-port sleeves, I just had a few questions. I've had my UIM off many times (too many), but Ive never taken my lower IM off. When I take this off, will I just be able to slide the old sleeves out, or will I need any kind of special tools? Also when putting the new sleeves in will I have to do anything to secure them in, or do they just slip in and stay there? Also anything I should look out for or be careful of, or replace while its off? Thanks.

Make sure and use a new gasket. If you ue a gasket remover spray, get some high quality gloves: METHYLENE CHLORIDE is NASTY stuff and permeates just about everything.

OK, thanks. Yea I have all new gaskets, will regular like white doctors gloves be good enough to protect my hands? Also i am going to port my IM while its off, I had a few things I was thinkin.
-Alls that your going to be able to do is basically make the ends of the runners larger, while the center portion is going to remain the same width, how will this help flow much at all?
- Can I port the intake port on the engine itself, and match it to the LIM?

Eye/Face Protection:
Chemical splash goggles or safety glasses with side shields. Full face
shield should be used if the potential exists for splashing or spraying
of product.
Skin Protection:
Use chemical resistant, impermeable clothing including gloves and
either an apron or body suit to prevent skin contact.
Respiratory Protection:
Use a NIOSH approved air-purifying respirator with an organic vapor
cartridge. Use a full face supplied air respirator if airborne
concentrations exceed established exposure limits.
LATEX GLOVES ARE NOT ADEQUATE PROTECTION
You need a butyl or nitrile glove to protect yourself, this is ansty ****.
