6-port question!

I'm going to get my pineapple racing sleeves installed, as soon as i get around to get some gaskets, with help of Joe Romeo of www.fc3s.org. I was wondering, when the 5th and the 6th ports get stuck is it usually the malfunctioning actuators or the sleeves themselves getting stuck because of the carbon?

Can't speak for the world. Only myself. I've found the front actuator itself frozen. Just take the things off if you can't move them with finger force. Only two 10mm nuts involved and a paper gasket. If you cannot move the shaft when its out of the car, just rap it against a piece of soft wood. I found this to be the case on one car and after manipulating as described above it freed up. Just needed exercising . Same actuator does daily duty in may 87 na. Never had to extract the sleeves from the manifold to make one work yet. Its usually in my opinion a case of a frozen actuator due to non use which in turn is due to a lack of supply pressure which can be due to the paper gasket being ripped and or torn during removal and reinstallation. Only a couple of psi are required to make them work, so if you have a small leak at the gasket, they don't work. The above is related to 86-88 cars. If I had a newer car the first thing I'd look at is to see if the solenoid is tripping that feeds the actuators. I have not a clue what year car you have. The profile is a blank. The post is a blank.
