After bolting on the series 4- 5 speed to my formerly auto series 5, My car would not crank. After unflooding it it ran but smoke poured out the back. Even when warm the smoking continues.
My car started great before the tranny swap. What's up?
Must have missed something.

 

What colour is the smoke? Maybe you're burning tranny fluid somehow. Seems unlikely but i've heard some remote cases where this can occur if a vacuum line is misplaced or something.
