5 spd trans from a 2nd gen. is it true?
ok well i have a question for expierience rx7 owners . ive been told the 5 spd trans used in 2nd gens are a t5 made by ford? same bellhousing ? and shaft? so this would be capatible with a ford 5.0 engine?

Whoever told you that... kick them in the *****. It not fit without an adapter, and the T5 is made by Borg Warner, not Ford.

the Rx7 doesn't have a t5, although some Fords use a Mazda transmission…

i figured it wasnt true....i was in a little rush when i posted this, i forgot to add that they mentioned the fc trans is what is in the ford rangers with the 2.3 motor . oh well if it was true i figured save some money on a 302 conversion.

the 94+ manual transmission rangers do use a Mazda transmission, however its a P type, which is completely different than the R type that is used in the rotary cars
