well I can tell you what turbo can do it.
T51KAI
TD07-25G 17cm2
T78
T88
To4R
T04S
GT35/40R
And many more.
Question is do you want a tuned setup meaning best responce and function/reliability for the HP you are looking for or are you just looking to reach that for bragging Rights?

GT35r!!! The 40r is cool too, but 35 is all you need on an FC.

GT35r can do it. Check out the single turbo section, there are FD and FC guys that put down close to and over 400rwhp on NON-ported motors. Those are good turbos. Just imagine what can be had with some porting to go along with it.

Single Turbo Section? What's that?

Carl Byck is gonna love you. Show me a 500whp GT35R dyno...that turbo is great for fast spool and decent power, but not THAT much.

Maybe the 35r is the one that showed 350-400 rwhp easily and the 40r was the one hitting 500, I can't remember. It was one of those, and I thought it was the 35r but I could be mistaken.

Why not just go with a GT40R then

T66 lives above 20psi, seriously doubt it would be straining. 500whp is definitely possible with it.

T76 compressor map looks like it would be hard to get it to spool well unless you had at least a H-BP...

SR Motorsports KKK Stage II is a pretty nice turbo. Lots of money though, but 500HP has been dynoed on this forum.

Nope, not according to the flow charts... it is capable of producing 568.339 HP at STP and based on the theoretical VE of the rotary engine. so taking advangate of margin of error 500hp should be achievable in the Compressors efficiency range!

I agree with you partially there are soo many different variables to take into account the basic calculations alone will not cut it... but I would not be surprised to see someone put down 500 with a 35R. But won't be surprised either if they all come a little short of 500.

That might be close to about what you could get one of those for! But might be a little more too... depends whether you get it used or new.

getting a good used turbocharger in good usable condition and rebuilding it is typically about 150-300 whether you do it yourself or paysomeone to do it. then it is as good as new.
