4-lug to 5-lug conversion?

Is there any way to upgrade my 88 fc's 4-lug brakes with a five lug setup and what would labor and parts cost me if so? Thanks!

Actually, all of the parts I can find are ABS hubs.. What all would I need to replace? I know the discs are different sizes for the 4 lug and 5 lug, so right off the bat I know the hub, the discs, the rims. Now, would I need to update my spindle? And what about the calipers? I also know that the turbos have the four-piston calipers and I have the two-pistons on my setup. What all needs to get updated in order to make the switch. Has anyone done it outside of a racing scenario? Also, can anyone tell me if you can update to ABS and if it would be at all beneficial? Thanks!

The turbos and the convertables came with 5 lug wheels. They also came with 4 piston calipers on the front. I think the rear set up, except for the five lug rotors, is the same. You occasionally see a used 4 caliper set up on ebay, mazmart.com, or 915Racing. ABS is a questionable expense, and a very involved change.

Get the Five lug set-up that does NOT have the ABS.The ABS system is Costly to Replace, and In my opinion is not Worth the Metal they made it with!If your car is 86-88 then you should be able to find the five lug set-up with 4 piston calipers on teh rear and single piton on the Front.Make sure that you get VENTED BRAKE DISCS.not the solid disc(REAR was single Piston solid disc).the S4(86-88) also came with Replaceable ball joints. So if the car is 89 and up you may want to Swap the lower control arms out to S4's to Ease your mind,If the ball joints go..Because IF they do,you have to replace the whole Lower control arm.Good Luck.
