Ive seen over 160 in my FC on the stock ECU. They will go that high without a problem.

Actually if you managed to get a S5 Turbo to hit the 8500rpm limiter in 5th it'd be doing 203mph. Cool...

Only Japanese FC's have a speed limiter, and it's at 180km/h (112mph).

Even though US FC's don't have a speed limiter, they do have a pulse generator in the mechanical speedo that sends a roadspeed signal to the power steering, AAS and cruise control computers. On Japanese FC's this signal is also sent to the ECU for the speed limiter.

My 88 SE would never go beyond 130ish floored to the max on the highway. It would hover between 127-130.

Now my TII with the bridgeport and TO4E turbo I couldn't tell ya! I have never pushed it that hard besides after getting around 9 speeding tickets over the last 5 years has stigmatized me and I am always on the lookout for heat on the road.

But if you guys are saying between 145 - 160 thats insanely fast! Kick ***!

That's because of air resistance, and running out of power, not because of of a speed limiter.

You're comapring an NA to a highly modified turbo? Are you nuts? Why would you think that had anything to do with the ECU? You don't think doubling the power might have had something to do with it?

Yes I am nuts! Thanks for asking =0)... When I had my N/A I was told the reason why it didn't go past 130 was because of a govern. Whatever that may be? Anyway that was over 5 years ago, but I am not sure what the second question you have means? Just as confused. My TII is insanley fast!

You just reached it's top speed, limited by power and aerodynamics, not the ECU. Your TII goes faster because it has more power.

I couldn't agree with you more. I won't test the speed in the TII my job depends on my license.
