Angry 3rd gen engine in a 2nd gen (mounts)

I want to put a 3rd gen engine into a 2nd gen. I have seen the mounts on the net but center plate does not have a place for a stud or a bolt. Heeelp please !

all the aftermarket mounts are for the cosmo engines, the fd engines mount differently and there are no prefab mounts. there are only 2-3 people that have done that swap

The S5 (series 5) cosmo 13b-tt and 20b-tt engines are stronger & often cheaper than the S6, S7, and S8 found in the 3rd gens.

That's why most people go cosmo (or are waiting for the S9 13B-tt rx-8 engine.

if you want to do that swap your best bet is too rebuild the FD engine , swap in a S5 center lid for the mounts and use a FC oil pan.
