Question 3rd Gen conversion into 2nd Gen

Hey guys and girls,

I've put this thread in the conversions section but thought it may be more appropriate in here.

I'm in the process of whacking in a SVIII GT35/40 (mayber T04E/T60 0.7,1.32) powered 13BREW into my 2nd Gen. The car/engine when shipped out from Japan had only done 320km before it was written off.

Since having it delivered to Australia, shes been opened up, had very minor porting work done ie still stock, had Hurley Engineering double race spring 2mm seals put in, and had the mounts changed to suit the 2nd gen.

My questions are what problems do you forsee me having? Where can you envisage my FMIC could be placed? Has anyone done such an engine conversion? And can you offer any advice? Anything would be very helpful.

Thanks a lot,

Cheers,

Chris

you will have ALOT of problems.... I think I've ever heard of one person doing this... the motor mounts are way different. the FD clutch works backwards. I'm guessing you could use the FC flywheel, clutch, tranny etc and be ok though.
