3rd gen on a 2nd gen

I'm wondering if 3rd gen wheels will fit on a 2nd gen? I know it's been asked, but does anyone know for sure?

Yes you can!!!!! I have done it after some research. I think it looks great and it also handles just as well as it looks. Let me know if youd like the details.
