3rd gear grind question

3rd gear grind question
Well here's my situation:
I just put in some syncromesh fluid to help ease the grind of going into 3rd gear
I now grind on the downshift into 3rd mainly at a high RPM 4k+
whereas I used to do so on both the upshift and downshift regardless of RPM
The grinding has just begun within the past 1500miles or so.
I've got about 111k miles on her right now and do not drive the car hard, though was planing on AutoX but scratching that plan for now.
My question is: Can I get by like this without having to get a rebuild or replacement, or are things likely to get worse such as more gears starting to grind?
