I JUST FIXED MY 3800 RPM HESITATION!! I AM SO HAPPY!

I did the trick where you solder a wire to the pressure sensor and ground it to the radiator. Works perfectly. No more annoying hole in my power band!

I've only had my '87 N/A a few weeks and I'm already loving it. I'm learning to drift in low traction areas (not enough bizzalls to do it on hard dry pavement). It's not in perfect shape, so I'm getting things back up to speed.

Improvements so far:
New NGK plugs, wires.
New Belts.
Shifter bushings (SO MUCH BETTER)
New air filter.
General cleaning.

This looks like the spot for FC-related discussion, so I'm sure I'll be posting here more.

on your 84 n/a which wire did you ground it too. (what color was it)

I regrounded mine and it did not work. However i regrounded it to the chassis, and not the radiator. any input would be great. i just need to make sure i grounded the correct wire.

I grounded the brown wire with a narrow white stripe down the side.

If you had grounded the wrong one you would have blown your ecu by now.

brown wire with narrow white stripe. hummm.. I grounded the black wire with several brown stripes on it. HOW could it be different from 86' to 87?

where is the pressure sensor? can someone post a pic and more descriptive job on the fix? I have a little hesitation around 3800.

Brown with a white stripe is not a ground wire.

wait wait wait. did you reground the boost sensor, or the pressure sensor

There is a diff. the boost sensor is located on the pass shock tower, with a vac line going into it. The atmospheric pressure sensor is located under the dash, near the passengers right knee... Just try and imagin. I regrounded my boost sesnsor as well, by running a wire from the black/brown wire to the chassis, and it did not fix, nor did it break anything. I have a brown/white stripe wire, but i though that would fry the ECU, man, now i'm all confused.
