Is a 35 amp fuel cut off switch too mucH?

I bought the best heavy duty switch they had at advanced not really thinking about whether or not it was too much or going to draw too many amps or anything.

is that OK

says on the pack

umm ya it's probalby overkill... but will work fine. if you mount it right at the pump it'll be around 10 amps.

if you mount it under the dash where you should it'll be way under 1 amp

It will be fine. You could have a 1000 amp switch if you could find such a beast. The switch doesn't draw amps, the device it is switching does. Too low an amp rating = melted switch. Too high an amp rating is fine, though you might have spent more money than you needed to.
