I have a quick question i was wondering if i would need a stand alone system if i get those numbers, i already have a afc and avr-c so i can tune it myself. do you think this would be enough?

short answer;
Yes it can be achieved without stand alone.
Long answer;
yes you can achieve that without stand alone, but you will sacrigice drivability, power, Gas millage, reliability... etc.
Personally from now on any time I modify a car more than 25% of original power I am going to get stand alone!
My take on things!

sure you can, just use a good quality cat and a Electric Air pump.

if it is tuned properly yes.
even if you don't you can just use additives to pass the smog test check out the haltech and or microteh forum for threads regarding this

Greddy e-manage is not a stand-alone. It is a piggy-back like an SAFC. You would need a wideband 02 sensor and a A/F guage wired to that to actually tune you're car, otherwise how would you know what you're AFR's are. 340-370RWHP is too much for a piggy-back I would think. 300RWHP would be a much more logical goal, however it could still be done, just get your ECU modified, I don't know who does this though. At least with a stand-alone you have room to modify.

You will NOT pass smog in California with a standalone. Remember, we have visual... an area in which smog-stations DO place attention in.

I believe any Rx7 owner who is looking to mod his car should not even bother asking about smog in California. If you're gonna mod your car, then expect to have your smog hooked up, or expect to not pass all areas recquired for smog certification.

going to be harder to have 340rwhp-370rwhp and pass smog in CA. That means you have to retain the stock airbox etc. to pass the visual.

I said people with modified Rx7's SHOULD NOT worry about trying to pass smog. In that statement, I meant passing smog legally. Of course there are ways to pass smog other ways, but if you have to ask about actually passing smog the legally correct way, then don't buy your Rx7 thinking to modify it much.

You would need to be creative, like swapping out parts for the test. Or the I just need to get it registered and it doesn't run story
