2nd transmission in 4months... GONE

I have no clue whats going on.... the shift forks broke again... its stuck in reverse again... always happens when shifting from a stop.... well the tranny is in the shop now, im waiting to see how much its gunna cost.. if its to much does any1 have a S5 tranny in the tampa area?? also i need a bolt that holds on the pressure plate... im me on aol my s/n is onereving7

you guys must be ragging the hell out these trannys.....ive gone through everything but the tranny....drive-shaft, diff, clutches, and diff-mounts.

mmm... heh my tranny oil pan exploded because the oil was so hot and started to expand but didn't ahve any place to go. That was on I-90 mid july. kinda funny when I think about it. Of course, all I did was put the old oil pan back on, fill er up and drive off again, lol. So yeah... I guess you could say thats ragging. It was overheating because I was driving 75-80 and it doesn't have enough power in od, so I was cruising45 minutes at 5.5krpm and the tranny just boomed. busted nothin but the bolts and pan though.

yea ur tranny is still good.... but a t2 tranny is far superior to a N/A tranny....

wow i really dont understand why you guys are having such bad luck with ur n/a trannys, granted mine is getting old, and i am in dire need of new bearing's/syncros but it never pops out of gear or grinds... it just whines alittle in 2nd and third gear, and the SOB has over 220,000 miles on her. the engine has since been replaced and i do my fair share of "spirited driving".

****. i raped my n/a tranny for as long as the beast ran, and i didn't have any problems. This is a 165k mi tranny i'm talking about? are you guys just not using your clutches /ever/ or what?
