2nd gen RX7 advice please?
Ok well I am looking to get an RX7 and a friend has one for sale for $1800. Any ways my biggest problem is I wanted to do some modding and stuff to it later on "not now but like a year+ down the line" any ways, its not a t2 and its an automatic.
So, is it a real pain in the *** to put a T2 engine in a non T2 rx7 and also is it viable to change out a transmission later on?
Also if you can give any advice on fair prices for stuff it would help a ton as well. The car is an 85, body is in god condition a few scratchs but no major dents, interior isn't to good. Tires are very good, engine seems ok has a small exhaust leak in the engine compartment "I am guessing it is eaither the ring that connects to it or a hole in it, eaither way that kind of exhaust fix isnt hard."
Any advice on this would be nice.

Also wanted to know if its possiable to put a t2 / man in a 85 rx7 without having to jimmy rig a bunch of stuff or cut areas out ect.
"been looking for a t2 for some time now and I only find friggin automatic normal ones "
Whats average pricing on a T2 bye the way?

for starters an 85 is a first gen so you would be in the wrong section... this is 86-92
if you want to mod the car later on. don't buy an auto non turbo.... just not worth the effert.

guys do it all the time....
HOWEVER... scotty's right.. you really need to ask the guys in the 1st gen section about how to do it, 1st gen guys will put a TII engine in their cars, but I don't know of anybody who's put a 1st gen engine in one of ours... I've never pulled a 1st gen motor
