2nd Gen Questions..

OK guys here we go, I own an Rx-8 that i love but i just didint wanna rip it apart so I bought a '86 GXL to play with. Basically my main questions are is there a supplier of OEM style fiberglass fenders? (i realize i wouldnt be losing that much weight but the fenders on it have some wrinkles and i figure if imma buy new ones why not) Also how much power/torque can the stock read end take? This car is going to be serious and I need to decide if imma have to backhalf the car and juyst weld in a new subframe and rear end. Also anyone have any pics of a 10 point cage in a second gen? I just bought the cage and im wondering just how much of a b!tch its going to be getting in/out of it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Also if anyone has any good links to 2nd gen drag cars id love to check em out and see what they've done.

Thanks a bunch
Will

The N/A drivetrain can't handle a great deal of power, assuming your abusing it. For example, Kevin Landers uses a N/A transmission on his vert which is pushing 250? hp. However, he doesn't dump the clutch at 5000. Doing so would blow that tranny to bits real quick.

I would go to www.fc3s.org for carbon fiber / fiberglass body parts.
