Thumbs down 2nd Gen GURUS, What connector does this go to ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

The previous owner snipped the purple wire with white stripe, and looked to have it going into a relay off of the electic rad fan.

But, I don't remember where I pulled this plug from or if it even was plugged into anything.

Does this look familiar to any of you ?

Can't say that I'm familiar with that particular plug, but it's got a unique connector. Look for a female end that would accept it. From the photo it appears to have been connected, but hard to say. Is everything working? How about the fan when the engines hot? The wiring has a limited range, look within that range for a female end. If you haven't yanked on the harness, try laying it in different positions & see if it will "point" to it's mate. One other note, I've seen components, alternator, motors that sort of component that use this type of plug. The female end may be "hidden" in the body of the component. ..........rxinator

This is on an '81 like your sig says? I've never seen a connector like that on a 2nd gen car, you probably should ask this question in the 1st gen section.

that is not a factory plug, at least from those years. Im guessing you have some random OEM type fan that fits over your radiator, and that was the plug it used. The optional little electric fan thing that came on the second gen cars is not what we are talking about here either.

As a after thought, it might have had something to do with different speeds of the electric fan.

It's a 1st gen, with a TII swap and Haltech. After further investigation, I've determined that it's a dead connector, but the purple wire is to my PWM outlet on the haltech.
