Excuse me for asking, but why bother ? At your local store they should be able to make you a nice good looking setup for any kind of gauge. Saw a couple of setup in the store that I went yesterday to install my MP3, all custom made, and they looked hella good...and the cost is minimum

I may be able to hook you up with one of those for a discount.

There's a shop here in town and the guy has lots of Japanese hookups and he used to own an FD as his "shop" car.

A buddy of mine works for him and gets some pretty sweet discounts on the side. I'll send him a picture of that and see what I can find out.

Did you want the guages on the right of the stock pod like in the pic? Or if you have a choice would you like it on the left side?

Well, I don't care if it's for a RHD or LHD car. I assume either one would fit. I guess I would rather have one with the gauge openings on the right, like in the picture. And then also have this to go with it:

Somebody hook me up PLEASE!!! Like before the first week of Sept, so I can have my car ready for the Fluidyne booth at Nopi.

Doesn't that gauge pod kind of lays on top of the inside door panel? I've been looking for that other gauge pod (the one that covers the warning lights) forever and I too would like to obtain one. I'll be at NOPI too, so I guess I'll see you there.

Here are some pictures of a custom 5-position pod that I fabricate from hand laid carbon fiber. I can also make these in fiberglass for slightly less; however, they require finishing (paint, etc) or can be left with the natural look. These pictures really suck. My apologies. They were taken on 35mm, developed, and then held in front of a digital camera! I can take some better pictures if anyone is genuinely interested.

Yea, I would like to have both of them....

George, your solution looks cool. But time is my main concern now. I've gotta have something soon!

the one I have from Run Racing will only fit RHD. there is no way for it to fit LHD as its molded to fit where the door open where the vent is in the door.

mine will hold to guages a 80mm and 60mm

I also have the gauge holder that goes where the clock goes but its for RHD also so the gauges are turned facing the driver. so if you have LHD car your passange will get a great view of your gauges.

It sure as hell looks like it would fit to me. Even with the mold for the vents, im sure it can be trimmed.

Correct - it is left hand drive. I'd rather have that then the logicon replacement gague pod.

Exit13B,

Very nice work. Definitly show us more shots. One question - are you stripping the AC completly for racing or just relocating the controls (like the 3rd gen rx-7s) and cooling ducts.

How much are you asking for the fiberglass version?

VaugnC:
The "mickey mouse" gauge pod: Are you referring to the FEED one?

if I could have cut to fit I would have used it on my car but the gauges would have been still on the right side and right is molded to fit next to the door and looks like crap when you put it on a LHD car.

just trying to save you some heart ache.

if I was in the USA I would take a pic of it so you can whole thing how its molded and you would understand how it fits
