2nd gen engine swap
I currently have a 1988 RX-7 and my apex seals went on the engine. A rebuild would cost around 2500. I was thinking about swaping a Turbo II motor in JDM motors. My car is also auto and I was going to change it to the five speed manual. Just wondering if this is going to be a very difficult task or should I just rebuild the engine and put it back in.

My guess is the JDM motor will also need rebuilt (or might as well while you have it out). The turbo motor would also involve putting in different harnesses and many other things that I don't even know about.
I think rebuilding the motor you have now would be a lot cheaper/less time consuming/less headaches. However, if you search, you can find many threads about this already.
There are also auto -> manual swap threads out there as well.

JDM does not have any emissions either, so that could be a concern in CT, I don't know.
But a JDM turbo should have a rebuild because it will probably have been sitting for a long time.
And stay within series S4 -> S4
Search about the turbo swap, has been covered many many times.
