2nd Gen Doors; early (-88) versus later (-91)

The mazdatrix catalog lists two different doors for 86-88 and 89-91. Is there much of a difference? Can one exchange mirrors, windows, window regulators, and interior?

I have a 91, but can only find 86-89 stuff cheap.

thanks.

The mirrors and window regulators can be exchanged on both doors. The main difference is whether there are holes for the speakers, and if so, where they are.

the 89 doors also have holes for the mouldings the 86-88's are taped. you can do it, its not a direct replacement

If you modify the 89-91 mouldings slightly you can also tape them.
