Does anyone know if the rear bumper on a 1990 convertible is the same for U.S. spec and Canadian/Euro spec models? Someone rear ended me, and I'm trying to find a rear bumper assembly, nobody knows if they are compatible.

you should be able to use any series 5 bumper cover, the crash bar behind it there might be some difference in crash protection but it will bolt in too

 

for the S5 the rear bumper cover is the same for all markets. it appears as if north american foams and reinforcements are the same. the JDM cars have different foams and reinforcements, but its probably compatible

 

Thanks, I didn't know for sure since a German Mazda dealer over here told me they probably weren't compatible.
