2nd Gen Aluminum pulleys?

Does anyone know of a source for these? There are tons of decently priced FD pulleys, but the crank and water pulley? aren't compatable. I've only been able to find SR motorsports (extremely expensive and I don't like how they look) or Supernow (only comes in purple).

I'm really not interested the performance aspect of these, I'm only looking to clean up my bay for occasional shows. I'd rather not go Gilmer because they are stupidly loud. All I want is basic aluminum pulleys.

I could buy Racing Beats Aluminum crank pulley and get it polished I guess.

Anyone?

atkins has a set listed .....doesn't say if the crank pulley is underdriven or not.

Thanks for the link. I've seen these recently. I was really hoping to find some polished or anodized pulleys. If I buy these, I'd have to have them sand blasted and polished. I

You don't want to sandblast a part that will be polished.

There is that, as well. I may to bite the bullet bullet and bullet and get Sr pulleys, even though they are horrendously over priced.

make sure you get a set that has the timing marks some aftermarket pulleys do not have the marks needed to time the car.

If it were me I would find one of those aluminum pulley kits and have them re-anodized. Still way cheaper than the SR kit, plus the SR kit is under-driven which is not desirable.

I know you aren't going to like my answer but...

Why not take the factory steel pulleys and shoot them with silver or chrome exhaust paint and bake them in the oven? I mean, you care about the aesthetics, not the performance value.

And, if I may rant for a second, Aluminum pulleys offer no measurable performance benefit other than what your brain wants to think. Aluminum pulleys are a waste of money and for the money you pay for those, you could have a light weight hood which actually does something (even though it is still small).

Yeah, I thought about painting them. The only issue is this is a part that is right next to the block and I also don't want to have to repaint them every 6 months from the paint flaking off. Maybe I'll have the stock pulleys powdercoated or something.

Having the stock pulleys powder coated would look really good, especially if it is done well, and coordinated to the rest of the parts under the hood. It's a durable finish too, so it will look good for a long time. Another interesting option would be to have the pulleys stripped and either chrome or nickel plated. If done properly that would look amazing. The difficulty would be the alternator pulley, as all the ones I've seen have a very rough surface that probably wouldn't look right with chrome on it.

I've swapped alternators and have a chrome pulley on it already. Would powder coating the pulley's belt surface cause issues though?

It's just going to wear off.
