please help...i have a 86 gxl automatic/od i found my o/d adjustment band but everywhere i read there is suppossed to be a second gear band adjustment i cannot find it anywhere i also removed the valve body for cleaning. can anyone give a description where it is?

 

If you take apart the guts of the transmission, you should see a screw on the kickdown band. That's your adjustment screw... at least that's how it is on the transmissions I've seen...which number about 3. I'd check the FSM for any adjustment procedure's, but it could be external.
