2k idle when warm & the car misses

My car holds a 2k idle when its warm. It seems to me to be the same 2k idle the car does when its cold only it doesn't go away if you drive it, blip the throttle, or let it warm up. The only thing i can think of that might have caused this is somehow i broke the water thermo sensor when I it was checking it to make sure it was working properly or the clip to it some how gave out. Is this even a legitmate concern?

is your car overheating? replace the water thermo sensor and see if it goes away. Hope your car isn't overheating.

No its not overheating. The TPS tested moderately. I am guess you recommend i replace it with a fully functioning one. Also I am not running a O2 sensor. Could this cause my car to miss? The reason I am not running one is because I can find where it plugs into the wire harness. Is the o2 sensor a 1-wire or a 2-wire? I just ask because the one that is mounted on my down pipe is a 1-wire but i cant find any 1-wire plug ins.
Also I just adjusted my car with the idle screw and throttle screw. It was working just fine with a solid idle. And now all of a sudden its not. Are you still suggestion to adjust it with the screw?

My 87's Wire to the O2 sensor is somewhere below the intake above the main engine. It's a tight squeeze to get to, I'd look around for a wire just hanging out. I'm sorry I cant help with anything else though, still learnin myself.
