2k hesitation (TPS??)

This is getting really annoying.

Often when accelrating at a pretty normal pace, the engine will just completely stop revving and it feels like i hit a brick wall. This happens for a second and then suddenly it catches and surges foward again. Ive had the 3800 hesitation, and this feels more violent. Its like the engine drifts off to sleep for a second and then suddenly wakes up.

This usually happens in 1st or 2nd gear or 5th gear, but I presume this is only because those are the only times the RPMs get that low. It also sometimes happens when I suddenly floor it higher in the RPM range around 5k.

I have tried adjusting my TPS multiple times. I think there may be a dead spot. When I first start opening the throttle the readings dont change and then all of a sudden they do. So Im guessing my TPS is effed now.

Help?

Check your plugs and how rich your cars is running. My car had that problem and I basically just changed the plugs. Oh when was the last time your fuel filter was changed, that was also my problem.

Did you ever resolve this? I've had this problem for about a year now, and I haven't been able to figure out the problem.
