225mm, Sprung, Puck'ed Discs
How many manufacturers are there of 4/6-puck sprung clutch disks are there? I'm really wanting a 6-puck, but haven't been able to find any that are sprung.
Any help in finding one that isn't ungodly expensive would be very much appreciated.
BTW, I've ridden in a street driven N/A FC w/ a sprung 4-puck. I know how they engague, andknow what I'll be getting myself into.

Count the pucks. 4-puck has 4 pucks and 6-puck has 6 pucks.
4-puck discs engage a bit harsher and are considered less streetable than 6 puck discs. I drove around in my daily driven 87TII with a 6 puck unsprung disc and stock pressure plate and it was fine.

Well this is a 4 puck with a racing pressure plate. Ohhh it's gona be fun. It's driven me nuts, I can't drive my first turbo until I get everything put back together, and once I get it running right againg, I still can't get on it because the motor isn't broke in

any clue on the price for PR's, just for the disc? Also, I thought it was unsprung?
Cory, not much of a difference, you just have to get used to it.

I have the RB 6puck sprung hub disc with stock pressure plate. It is MUCH easier to drive than ACT's HD pressure plate and 6puck unsprung... I may be switching over to an ACT pressure plate though, because the stock pressure plate engages the clutch too high.
But overall, the sprung 6puck combo is probably the best compromise for the street.

I have the RB HD clutch and PP and it takes a bit of getting used too. It grabs pretty hard and I think it can somewhat loosely be considered a sprung hub. I like it though, handles all the power a T2 engine can throw at it.
Theres a Pineapple Racing GB going on right now! It ends this Friday. I paid $185 for a 6 puck sprung hub. They are using this new material that no one else can get. Its much nicer to the PP, and flywheel, than the copper sytle pucked clutchs. CJ

While the Pineapple Clutch looks good... it's still unsprung, and 4-puck.
I Spafically want a 6-puck Sprung, followed by 4-puck Sprung.
I won't get an unsprung disc. And the problem w/ a 6-puck is noone makes a sprung 225mm version

i think the 6 disc they offer is sprung.
also why the hell do u need 6 puck for a NA?
is it nawwzed? bridged ported? periperal ported? like to slip the clutch like there is no tommorrow? and ride it like a virgin with a hooker in amsterdam?

Liquid, you need to do a little more research. I personally know Rob, so why would I lie? If you call him, he can have just about any clutch made for that price. And for your info, it is a sprung hub/ 6 puck at the GB right now. CJ

So far, the only people who make a 225mm 6-puck sprung clutch are Pineapple.
If that's the case, then I'll probably end up getting a sprung 4-puck (not ard to find).
Not that pineapple makes a bad product, they make fantastic products. However, they're a touch too pricey for a car that will only run 13's at the very best.
