225 60 R15's

i bought my car with these tires on it and did not realize my car was out of the ordnaryfor a while, i was wondering why i hear scraping when turning a tight circle. anyway has anyone else had these size tires? i have them on the stock 5 spoke s5 rims. I was wondering if the 60 series tires would cause preformance issues in the cornering. I guess they would have better traction off the line since they are wider but would the extra weight be singificant?

they are too tall also , its probably throwing off your spedometer, and making the car higher off the ground, which would raise the center of gravity, off the ground father making handling not as good

overal those are about an inch taller, and will prolly throw your speedo off a few mph when going 60, ie if it reads 60 your really going about 63mph

a good tire size calculator, and explaination of what has changed

stock size is 205/60/15 on the 15" wheels

If you look around the discount tire tech section, there is a thing that tells you exactly how far its throwing the speedo off.
Edit: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos At 60, it is actually 62.28 (give or take lol)

wel now that u mention it..... i did have a GPS with me the other day and my spedo was DEAD ON.... dut that makes sense because i've read over and over on here about how the stock spedo is off a little, so i guess its compenstaing. but tha's not really the point, i don't really care about the speedo thing. I'm just kinda wondering what it would do to my preformance if i went back to the stock tire size, would it corner better b/c it's lower and less sidewall. OR would it corner worse b/c of the tires not being as wide? Also i'm wondering the same thing about acceleration: if i went back to stock size would my acceleration be imporved b/c the tires are smaller/lighter, the smaller circumferance adding more "tourque" and the less rotating mass part. OR would i get lots less traction and therefore hurt my acceleration?
