224/40/18s will they fit

on 18x8.5 tires with 5x120mm bolt pattern? no suspension mods.

8.5 will most likely not fit in the front (I have 18x7.5 with 225/40/18 on mine)

I think the bolt pattern is 5x114.3 for the 5 lug RX-7

i dont think you could fit the 8.5 up front.. 7.5 is fine up front but in the back no prob

8" is the most that can normally fit up front comfortably. I've seen 8.5" up front on FC's before, but that was with a lot of negative camber and some narrow tires stretched on them.

5x120 bolt pattern? That's not for any FC's. 5 lug FC's were indeed the 5x114.3 style.
