Question 2 topics...2 questions...

I have ditched all of my RX7 projects in favor of focusing all of my attention on my S5. This car is the future recipiant of an S4 block (due to lack of propper funds).

Now, while the engine is out of the car and being prepped for install I was wondering about porting the block without a teardown. Is this possible? I have a gadget that mounts on an electric drill that is made to bore out round holes...it basically has 8 carbide blades that expand manually and cut into the hole needing expanding. But using this will produce shavings and I don't know if they will damage the engine. I'm thinking that I can put one apex seal just above the exhaust port and then use B12 to basically flush the chamber and then turn it slightly so everything will drain out the exhaust port.

Also, I want to toss a turbo onto my car. This is set in the distant future so there's nothing certain. But I want to use a CT-26 from a MKIII Supra. Any opinions on this?

like you said, metal shavings can get in there, IMO i wouldn't risk the chance of damaging a perfectly good block.... as for the turbo it reallt depends on your goal for the car

that's what I thought about the porting...damn

My goal for the car is to make a 13 second S5 for reletively free. So far I'm getting there without problems, and I alread have a CT26, BOV, and FMIC from a MKIII supe.

When I can finally get around to it, I intend to make a custom turbo header and mate the turbo with the stock intake manifold system...which will be hard but I think I can manage it, especially with the intercooler I have. I want to use as much of the stock electronics as possible, only adding TII injectors, SAFC, and a couple of other lil gadgets to make sure things are working propperly. I do not intend to run more than 8lbs of consistent boost...but I have two low compression blocks...the first I will crank on to see what they can handle.
