The 2 Oil Sensors on Driver's Side Oil Pan
I have a question about what these 2 sensors are, and what the problems could be if one wire does not connect to anything, like in the picture. Both the sensors in the picture are connected to the OIL PAN.
This first picture is a top down view from the drivers side engine bay. I was doing some electrical work and found this wire not going anywhere.
This shot is from under the car looking toward the radiator. The sensor in the foreground(red) is the one mentioned before, and the one in the background(green) I do not know what it is.
-What are each of these sensors and what do they do?
-What are the effects of having the first one not connected to anything?

ok well the large oneis the oil level warning sensor( low oil light ), with it unpluged the light will stay off.
the second one near bottom is an oil thermo switch, and it was part of th cold start assist thing, whcih didnt work and was factory service bulliten to remove it, ( lil resivour near passenger corner of the fire wall. theres no harm not plugging it in, and pluging it in probably wont do anything either....
