aight, ive got two different problems here. the first sound is when i am at a stop light in neutral, put the clutch in, and engage first gear. right when i stick it in first, i can haer a deep clunk coming from the central portion of the car?? the next problem is seeming to be getting worse. cornering into a right hand turn at speeds around 30 or better i hear a lound metallic chatter. it almost sounds like i dont have an exhaust hanger attached and it bouncing off the heatshield, which is not the case because i went back there and shook the hell out of it and got no noise. itseems that this noise is concentrated at the right rear?? any ideas?

 

This may be a bit late, but it may be your trans mount. The center rubber bushing surrounding the y-mount bolt tends to tear. You may also want to check your engine mounts. Take a look at the engine and trans while the car is running - blip the throttle a few times.
