Question 2+2 Conversion?

So this has been on my mind for a while but, has anyone done a 2+2 conversion in their FC or know if it's possible? I have a '90 GTUs coupe. I know the rear seats are beyond useless but I think they look cool, please let in some insight. Thanks

It works, you just gotta get ALL the brackets for the rear seat as they are different from the bins

You may think they look cool, but i have them, i'd rather have the extra storage with the bins myself. Course trying to find red bins is almost impossible

Edit: the rear carpet is different too i believe

I've done a bins to seats conversion before. They are straight bolt-ons and the rear carpet is different. Should be pretty straight forward if the seats come with all the bolts, seatbelts, and carpet. 30 min swap

i converted to 2+2. the speaker tower carpets need a slit cut for the latch, rear carpet is different but you can either tuck the bin portion under or cut it at seat base. floor carpet is actually different to, vertical under the seat wont be covered but most ppl don't mind, you could just get some sheet of carpet material and tuck it under seat and floor carpet. other then that, theres only 2 hinges at base of the back support that are 2 bolts each, and the bottom seat i think just slides in and catches on part of the back, 2 or 3 bolts on the front of the bottom part. seat belts are 4 bolts, 1 for each buckle/button. all holes already drilled. i got mine for my kids but at 7 and 8, barely usable lol.

edit:i still have my maroon bins just in case.

Yep, very easy swap if you get all of the parts when you buy it. The seats are not big, but I was able to fit a car seat back there for a little while (until the kid's legs got too long)

Y, very easy swap.
When my wife got pregnant, I did the swap so I wouldn't have to get rid of the car. Unfortunately, that was 14 yrs ago and my daughter is now taller than my wife, but we still make it work ;-).
Make sure you source a seat with all the hardware. You'll need to cut a slit in the speaker tower carpet for the hooks that the seat latche on to when upright. You may also need to cut the carpet between the bins a bit to make sure everything fits snug.
