2.00 V Wtf?

So I went to pull my RX out of storage today (just got back from school) and I put a voltmeter across my battery and saw 2.00 V. Is that even possible? It's a new battery (only used a few days before storing) and its been in storage for 2-3 months.
Thoughts? Tips?
Thanks in advance

Doesn't really surprise me if it's been in there for that long just sitting. My friend's FD sits for 2-3 months at a time. It never has enough juice to even come close to starting it.

IF your going to leave the car for extended periods of time, then pull one of the battery terminals off for that period of time. The battery should still be *fresh* if you do that. Then again, you could have a drain on the system. You'll never know.

I've one car I almost never drive and leave for a period of a month or more, and it starts up each time. I've been doing this for maybe a half year now. Gotta pull that engine a rid myself of the expense of license plates/emissions testing/moving out of the way etc. Someday, someday......

#1: if you store the car.Pull the battery. If the Battery Freezes, then it May Bust and you get a Mess of Acid in the Engine bay..#2: if you Pull the battery, then you can put it Somewhere and use a Trickle Charger to keep it "fresh".Put the Battery on Charge for 2 days every 2 Weeks and the battery will be Good to go...#3:Why the battery has a voltage of Two volts:maybe you left a Door ajar,a light on,or the car has a parasitic draw.

the weird part is that i stored my car with the old battery for this long, and there was enough of a charge left to start it, except for when my old battery blew up.

And i keep my car in a heated garage, so no worries about a freezing battery
