1990 RX-7 GXL Dying Issues
About a year ago, I obtained my 1990 RX-7 GXL from a field. It was not running at the time, but a few months ago it finally started turning over. The issue is, on a cold start it idles perfectly for several minutes, but slowly the RPM starts to drop until eventually it dies. If I hold the throttle down, I can keep it alive as long as I want, but if I let off it will eventually die. As for what's been done to the car, it has received a new clutch assembly, fuel pump, fuel filter, starter, slave cylinder, and pedal assembly, and has also had all of its fuses replaced and grounds cleaned. I initially thought the cause of the problem was the MAF sensor, but after cleaning it the problem had not been resolved. I also attempted to adjust the TPS today, but encountered an issue. I read that, while using a multimeter, I should check the ohms for the TPS. It said that the ohms should sit at 1,000 while the TPS is resting, and from 4,000-6,000 while at open throttle. After getting the car to operating temperature, I turned off the engine and got to work. The ohms read at 1,250, and no matter how much adjusting or throttle movement there was, it sat at a consistent 1,250 ohms. Does anybody have an idea of what my issue might be? Thanks in advance.

You did all that work to the fuel system but didn’t have the injectors sent out for service? Or did you forget to include that?
One poor thing about the FSM is that it states to set it by Ohms, but the ECU really sees is DC VOLTS, i’m not sure on s5, but i know with s4 you set it to 1 volt DC after it hot
