1990 Non-Turbo Hood switch to turbo Carbon Fiber Hood

Anyone know about water or anything going into the engine from the hood scoop might cause damage since it was not originally a turbo car? Do I need to do anything or I can just easily install the hood and have no problem with the hood. By the way I have a vis racing Rx7 turbo hood.

thanks.

Into the engine, you mean into the engine bay? It's fine dont worry about it.

No it won't do anything if you're just going to drive in the rain ... Water goes into your engine bay no matter what sort of hood and undertray you have when it rains. But don't go running into puddles!

wasnt there a thread a while back about effects on the NA from a tii hood on it? i cant remember, but iirc, it said that something acted differently about the car and it had a diagram of a air flow chart hitting the car. but to answer your question, there shouldnt be any problems from water with a turbo hood.
