1990 convertible Tech question
i just got my car started and drove it around the block. i was super stoked so i put the top down and now it wont come back up. i checked the fuses and it will not come up. i know it has to be in neutral and the e-brake has to be up. thanks
lol its kind of silly what happened... there is a button on the automatic shifter that puts the tranny in a hold position that has to be enabled so we pushed that button and the top came up

LOL That was absolutely a coincidence. Too funny. Best laugh i've had in a while.
To raise or lower the top all you need is the power on and the handbrake set.
What you probably have is a dirty rocker switch. Take it apart (careful to note how it came apart), clean the contacts, then put back together. Otherwise you'll have the same problem again no matter how many times you push the auto shifter hold button.
