1988 vert and a 1991

I have a 1991 rx7 that has blowen trans, was looking at a 1988 vert with bad motor but good tranny. Would it be wise to get the vert for cheap and use what i need and part her out or r the s4 and s5 to diffrent?

the interior I know is a little different than an S5, I don't know much about the rest, how is the top on the S4?

the transmissions ARE interchangeable if thats what your asking...

but my advice to you after going through 3 different used transmissions last summer....

get yours rebuilt professionally and forget about it!

TRUTH.

Used trannys are unpredictable just like anything else that has been used.

But I can undertstand that getting a tranny rebuilt at a shop can cost a grip of money.
