1987 rx7 good deal?

Hi guys I want to know if this is a good deal or not: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...6223&rd=1&rd=1

i've been in correspondence with this guy for a bit, he says the current engine is about to go soon, and he has another engine with 130k on it that would work perfect. Hes gonna give me the car and parts for 1000$. I asked a few mechanics they are askign 500 for the swap, but i know a few buddies who are doing mechanic apprenticeships and they may be willing to help me out. I know the car itself looks horrible, but I wouldn't be in a rush to paint it, maybe next year , but im just worried if its covering a bunch of rust/patch up.

I'm going tommorow to maybe have a look at it, and am a bit nervous any words of wisdom greatly appreciated!!!

AJ

Not a horrible deal, if you can do the work yourself. You have already stated you can't though... This car is not for you in my opinion.

If you must go look at it or buy it read this first:

You can get a P.O.S. that still runs for less than that. A clean shell that doesn't run goes for $500, or so I heard.

Don't do it.
