NY 1987 FC buildup 44k miles

I plan to purchase my father's FC and mod up to as much power as I can build.
What is possible with an FC and a $5-8k budget?

intercooler,big turbo,255 fuel pump,injectors,turbocontroller,3" exhaust,BOV,required engine mods?

pics of the car??

well you wont get far on 5-8k budget if you want "as much power"

also you'll want to run a standalone, also you never mentioned how much you are actually trying to produce..

i would stick with an ems, hybrid turbo, fuel upgrades, koyo and some suspension (if you have a solid motor to start with)

Exclamation

Heres a pic

This RX7 has 44k miles driven conservatively 4 months a year garaged, stored inside on cement. So I'd say the engine doesn't have negative issues due to abuse; but has not been compression tested.

I'd like to build to 400-500whp. My current subaru Legacy makes 393whp on 93 octane and 514whp on 118 octane. so I'm used to power.

The build budget is initially 5-10k as I am just beginning rx7 research. I'd be selling my LGT for $20K (seen here http://forsale.michaelgondek.com) so there are more funds available.

if you do all the work yourself, you MIGHT be able to do it for $10k. if you were starting with a turbo chassis, i'd say it's doable.
