1986 Rx-7 13B won't run

I posted in the general tech section earlier today, but I haven't had any responses yet. So hopefully I have better luck in here.

I've never done anything with rotary engine or anything before, but I just bought an engine out of a 1986 NA Rx-7. The plan is to put the engine into my 1989 Mazda B2600i 4x4. I've got pretty much everything figured out, all the mounts and stuff, computer, wiring, etc. All that is figured out, but the engine doesn't really run, or at least not very well.

Here is a video of what it does:

I was originally planning on pulling it all apart and doing a complete rebuild, but rebuild kits are so expensive! Anyone know of a good place to get one for relatively cheap? Or have any good ideas of something specific the problem might be?

Also, right now the engine is NA, but I would like to put a turbo on it at some point. Is it the same engine, or will I have to get a completely different engine to put a turbo on it?

Any help of ideas would be great. Thanks.

well, i figured it was the ECU ground, so i took all the upper intake stuff apart and found the bolt the the ground 4 turns out i fixed the ground and put it back together but now it wont run at all. it flooded like crazy so i thought maybe i had a leaky injector. i swapped all 4, and the car started, but still ran like crap. still not sure exactly what the issue is. did you figure yours out belloscurita?

Sounds like your engine is running on 1 rotor, check your compression.

If you plan to go turbo, buying a complete turbo engine is cheaper and easier.

+1 Check compression, then let us know if it's ok. Easy to do, good place to start.
