18" wheels on FC ?

Who does run 18's on FC, what sizes of rims and tires, any spacers?

Need all info, friend wants to get 18's for his TII and we need what we could fit.

Thanks

225/40 18 rims 7.5 inchs wide and no spacers. My car is kinda low so u can probably go with a wider front tire if the car was higher(or wider rim).

I'm running 16x7 40mm offset rims with 225/50/16 tires and have absolutely no space for additional rubber in front with ST springs. (sidewall rubs if the bolt hole slack isn't aligned right on the struts as it is)

7.5" rims with a 225 tire should require a 35mm backspacing unless you're using coilovers.

i have 18's on my 86. the width of the rim is 7.5". it has a stock offset i believe. i run Yokohama Parada's 225/40/18. i love the way it looks and performs and your friend wont be unhappy if he goes with something like that.

Try an 18x9 with a 40mm offset. The widest you can go is a 255 in the rear, anything wider will rub.

you should be able to get away with 265s in the rear.....with 275s i think you will need to flare the fenders.....i have 245/40 18s on now and when its time for tires again i will go with 255s. Im not sure what type of look you friend is going for but he should be happy with 255 or 265s.....thats unless he wants the flared fender look and the wide *** stance in the rear.....which is nice look btw....

need sizes for 275 in rear (width of rim and offset)

fenders will be flared as much as necessary to fit those wheels...bodywork is not issue..

Im runnuing 18x9, and 18x8 on my 88 T-II.
I also have JIC coilovers. Let me tell you with the rims, coilovers the car handles so sweet its scary.

Just wonderin is there a way of measuring offset of a rim? I bought mine used and have no clue what the offset is and am just curious I guess. Have not been able to find it on internet anywhere either.

They are Enkei RSF-2 rims, 17x7.

I had my head up my *** on the earlier post. Rim width increase with the same tire width will not cause problems. I don't know what the hell I was on when I posted that....

I have 18x7's, but I have an NA...215/40 18's Parada-Spec 2's. No complaints axcept I don't have enough power to break'em loose anymore. A bit more grip that what I had on my 14's I actually think they look too small until I get my springs...still trying to save up and getting by on stock suspension.

You can't break them loose anymore because your rims weigh 15lbs more than the stock ones did.... Doesn't anyone pay attention in physics??

My new 225's leave nice black stripes.

I haven't weighed them yet but myself and two of my friends think the new 16's are lighter than my old phone dial setup.
