17s in the front 18s in the back.. pics

Has anybody tried setting up an fc with 17s in the front and 18s in the back... whenever I see one with 18s all around, it looks like a 4x4 even if it is lowered. If you have pics, please post.

17s in the front arent going to make that much of a difference from 18's all around. the car is not lowered enough then if it looks like a 4x4... just get a body kit, there cheap as hell on ebay... im sure everyone will be posting pics of there cars up on this post now...

Why do you think it's going to look like a 4x4?
Are people putting the WRONG SIZE TIRE on the rims???

The FCs that I have seen with 18s look kind of high in the front even when they are lowered. I have 17s on my vert with cut springs so it sits perfect and rides sweet 215 in the front and 225 in the back... however it just looks kind of wimpy in the back, the front is good but the back looks weak. The Corvette and the NSX have a similar set up and they look very aggressive... that is the look that I would like to see on an FC.

Lou, maybe you should try a test fit of a wider profile tire for the rear. I know Americas Tire will do that on one wheel (depending on the coolness of the store manager). just tell them that you would like to see how a wider tire will look on your FC. I myself am trying to avoid the wimpy factor with a staggered look.

Thanks for the info guys, I am going to have a 17/18 combination test fitted this weekend to see how it looks... I will take pics, since no one has done this yet.
