I have a 90 TII and I was wondering what kinda porting it would take to take on a FD with a similar turbo set up.
Not to sound aggressive but Im kinda sick of all the flap of FDs. I want to gonna go out and remind FDs that we are all just as quick as they are. I read somewhere that a street ported 90 13BT is about equivialnt to a 13Brew. So a street ported rew is equal to what 13bT. Arent they very similar internally. Both have 9.0 comp ratios and light rotors. Ill get a RB template when this engine starts to fail. WEll I dont expect to beat FDs I just want to keep up and make them feel bad for paying $12000 more than I did for a car only 3 yrs newer than mine. Do most FD owners seem kinda condecending to you guys? Maybe Im just in a bad mood.

 

Essentially, the difference is boost levels. The FDs ran about 5 more psi stock. There are other little differences in the two, but mainly it came down to boost.

I would pit my streetported FC (which coincidentally runs FD rotor housings) against any stock FD out there and beat it all day long.

 

How many have you raced? Im happy to hear that some FCs are beatin down FDs. I still woundnt mind one though. =) Whered you get FD housings from? I think mazdatrix said FC housings arent to great with extreme street ports.

 

Fastest FC I've heard of on here is SoulAssassin and his 600+hp FC.

 

the 89-91 13BT engines are VERY similar to the 93-95 engines. it doesn't take much. my TII is way faster than a stock FD
